...I did find the first journal entry I ever made, ever, about CHURCH.
This was the first time I even started thinking about it....

The audience walks in. I don't know yet. I need to walk into some churches and get some ideas. But there is something. It's nice, you like it.

It's beautiful.

There is music, incense? I gotta check out some nice churches. Some catholic churches.

And there is this beautiful, moving music. And see how the priests and holy people come out. But my idea is that the music plays and he rises. What do I want them to feel? The intro has to soothe.Pull them away into another world. And Ari's costume has to be spectacular. Radiate charisma and talent like a rock band. It has to be like a rock show.

But I have to see how it's done. Ask Greg. What should he say? Maybe hevshould dance a little first. It's a big deal when he speaks. Start with a little murmuring chant or prayer? Steal ideas. It's not a parody. How do priests start their sermons? Do it the way they do it.

What would I want to see?

Fuck all the people who are not me.

Make the show for me.

No, I should care about the audience, right. I can feel how easily I could go into the crazy place of horror where I don't know. Where do the ideas come from? That moment of awww...I love that. Those ideas come from doing. Just because an
idea comes to you doesn't mean it's the right idea. The lovely things with language and plot. Those unexpected weird things.

I need to look at sermons.
I need to go further. Just start writing.

Hello. This is a sermon. This is a very moving sermon.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I would like to thank you for giving me no wasting diseases. I would like to thank you for giving me full use of all limbs and faculties. I would like to thank you that I am young enough not to-
but this isn't the right kind of prayer. It has to be about us, about the congregation.

There is a church and an altar with candles and incense. Music plays as the audience walks in. There is a choir.
