¡Cantinflas! is a tribute to the legendary “Charlie Chaplin of Mexico,” the late Mario Moreno, brought to life by creator/actor Herbert Sigüenza of the Los Angeles-based Culture Clash. The production is performed in Spanish in English and captures the fusion of the comic’s clever word play. ¡Cantinflas! was directed by Max Ferrá, founding director of New York’s INTAR, and was originally commissioned by the Alley Theatre and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and developed at Z space.
